Dr. Alon Hait
Dr. Hait’s special interests include basic and clinical research, viral neuroinfections, herpes virus virology and primary immunodeficiencies.
Throughout his military service, he has witnessed the lowest and highest points of humanity, and was able to help civilians receive the highest quality of emergency medicine. He has therefore decided to continue his higher medical education and research. His interest in recurrent viral meningitis (Mollaret’s meningitis) was sparked during his infectious diseases module, during which his professor had mentioned it briefly, and when asked more questions about it, he didn’t have any answers to provide.
He decided to dig deeper into it to advance the knowledge about the disease to the best of his abilities. He is operating daily having recurrent viral meningitis patients in mind, and is a true believer in the purpose of the Recurrent Meningitis Association and its future activities.
